Learn how to set up a Question Mark kick with some key technical advice that will help you get more effective with the delivery of this advanced kick for MMA. Over the past few years we've seen more and more unorthodox and advanced kicking techniques being used in high level MMA and the UFC. The Question Mark kick is a kick which we've seen being used a few times in the past few years and it can be highly effective because of the misdirection element of the kick. The kick itself is possibly best described as a fake Front Kick followed by a high Round Kick, so it's effectively a feint. The key success element to the technique comes from how well you can change shape mid kick - you start by 'selling' the opponent a straight Front Kick shape and then you switch the motion just before contact to a circular Round Kick shape. The faster you can switch from one shape to another the more you can sell the misdirection and the key to switching the shape can be found in how you utilise the motion of the head and balancing foot in synchronisation. If you can get the head and foot generating the shape switch then you can rapidly change from the initial Front Kick shape into a Round Kick shape and the Question Mark Kick is far more likely to land and do damage.
