Above Suspicion (2009 TV Series) Above Suspicion was crime drama series based on Lynda La Plante's novels Above Suspicion, The Red Dahlia, Deadly Intent and Silent Scream. The British author, screenwriter and former actress is best known for writing the Prime Suspect television crime series. Above Suspicion starred Kelly Reilly and Ciarán Hinds, and featured the career of Lynda La Plante's heroine Detective Constable Anna Travis. The first series, Above Suspicion, was shown on the 4th and 5th of January 2009; the second series, Above Suspicion: The Red Dahlia, was shown on the 4th, 5th and 6th of January 2010. The third series, Above Suspicion: Deadly Intent, was shown on the 3rd, 4th and 5th of January 2011. The fourth series, Above Suspicion: Silent Scream was shown on the 9th, 16th and 23rd of January 2012. All the series were broadcast on consecutive days, except for series 4 which was serialised weekly. ITV cancelled Above Suspicion on May 28, 2012.
