Abdufatah and Hans have been buddies since 2014, when they met via a ‘buddy’ programme in Kapellen (Antwerp province). At the age of 14, Abdufatah fled from Somalia to Belgium after his father was murdered by Al-Shabaab. As Abdufatah puts it, Hans, who is the CEO of a leading media production company, not only provides him support and guidance but has also become a second father to him.
