We interview Brendan Ross, Chief of Child Protection, UNICEF Somalia, about the support the organization extends to various youth engagement activities across the country. He also explains why it is crucial that Somali youth be empowered and engaged, and that employment opportunities be created for youth during and after their studies. We also interview Awil Osman CEO of iRise, about UPSHIFT - a program implemented by the innovation hub and funded by UNICEF that supports youth entrepreneurship. We also talk to Fardowso Mohamed Elmi, a graduate of UPSHIFT, about how she benefitted from the program, and found better ideas to develop her project called Xareed Clean Water.
