USFallen.org's video: USMC Sgt Zachary J Walters KIA Homecoming

@USMC Sgt. Zachary J. Walters KIA Homecoming
June 17, 2010 (Dallas, TX), at approximately 1130 hours a charter plane landed at Dallas Love Field with the cremains of Sgt. Zachary J. Walters. As the plane parked and shut down his family was escorted out to the tarmac. An honor guard detail from the 2nd Battalion, 14th Marines Regiment conducted a dignified transfer ceremony from the plane to a waiting hearse. Also, present were members of the North Texas Patriot Guard Riders (PGR). Sgt. Walters' grandmother gave the PGR instructions to "kick their butts, if anybody tries to protest," Bobbie Walters said. Once the dignified transfer was completed the procession made its way to the Brown's Funeral Memorial Chapel in Irving. The short trip was escorted by the Dallas Police who shut down traffic to allow the procession to proceed without interruption. Once we arrived at the funeral home the police established an honor line while blocking all traffic while allowing the honor guard the opportunity to transfer the brass urn with his cremains into the chapel for a private family viewing.
