Mesut Ozil is a German footballer of Turkish descent who currently plays for Premier League side Arsenal. Ozil burst onto the scene with Schalke 04 before making move to Werder Bremen. At Werder Bremen Ozil formed a strong partnership with Diego Ribas, Ozil and Diego helped Werder Bremen win the DFB Pokal and reach the UEFA Cup final. Ozil's performance caught the eye of Jochim Low who then picked Ozil up for the FIFA World Cup 2010. At the World Cup 2010 Ozil registered multiple assists and scored a brilliant volley against Ghana, these performances were the reason Real Madrid signed Mesut Ozil. At Real Madrid Ozil was creating chances and assisting goals at a higher rate than anyone else, Mesut Ozil and Cristiano Ronaldo partnership was unplayable under Jose Mourinho, that season Ozil won his first league title, La Liga with Real Madrid. When Gareth Bale came along Ozil was pushed out and Ozil joined Arsenal. At Arsenal Ozil has won 3 FA Cups and till like 2017 was probably the biggest superstar and the first name in the Arsenal, but ever since Unai Emery came along and Ozil had falling out with DFB president and team Toni Kroos, Ozil has not looked the same.
