On 11th June 2019, The Ministry of Health in Uganda confirmed the first Ebola case since August 2018 when the outbreak was confirmed in the neighboring DR-Congo. For the last 10 months, UG has been in preparedness and Uganda Red Cross is at the fore-front of managing entry points with screening services, in communities with risk communication and sensitization, ambulances to support case referrals, offering Psycho-social support to the affected , trained teams to manage safe and dignified burials among other preparedness efforts.
