I hope you enjoy it!!! I've always had such a great desire to travel (as we all do) but when I was younger, the experience seemed extremely out of my reach. Financial issues aside, I had just accepted the fact that I would have to wait until I was much older and married. God forbid a woman goes on a trip without her family, or a husband! There were so many restrictions placed on me that I didn’t even dare to DREAM about trips like this. Vacations - especially to ‘beachy’, tropical countries would always be in the realm of what other people could do, but I couldn’t. Plus, what's the point of visiting a warm country if you're all covered up and not allowed to fully feel the glow of the tropical sun? Fast forward to the present, here I am at 22 truly just fully EXPERIENCING life and all that this earth has to offer us. There is no greater happiness than that which exists when you are free. This video features The Westin Golf Resort and Spa Playa Conchal (where we stayed) and the Buena Vista Del Rincon Eco Adventure Park (where we did the zip lining, horseback riding, water sliding and visited the hot springs). Our tour guide from Pacific Tours was absolutely incredible. He had such an amazing attitude, was so accommodating + his upbeat energy really was contagious! This was actually my very first travel experience (not counting my trips to Pakistan because I was so young) and I cannot feel more grateful for it. This trip truly exceeded my expectations in every possible way. The scenery was stunning and the food was absolutely delicious but it was the people there that really made this trip such an unforgettable one. Costa Ricans are some of the happiest, friendliest, most genuine people that I have ever met in my entire life. They don’t just say ‘Pura Vida’ (which translates to ‘Pure Life’, kind of like the Latin American version of ‘C’est la vie’), they live it!
