Experiencing the death of an old self is an extremely exciting yet uncomfortable process. You know in your heart that the loss you are experiencing is for a greater purpose, to create space in your life for the new that you most desire - but that knowing still doesn’t stop the feelings of doubt, uncertainty and grief from creeping in. This video announces the death of my old self. Out with what wasn’t serving me in this lifetime, and in with what is. In the process of shedding, I have been met with quite some resistance from those still living in the perception of reality that my old self operated from. By expressing my (seemingly new) most authentic truth - I am no longer validating their versions of reality, and that can be distressing. All truths are true. Their version of reality is just as valid and true as my version is. However, it is not my responsibility to uphold their truth. My only responsibility is to uphold my own. If my truth and message doesn’t align with yours, if what I speak of is triggering in some way to you, then I invite you to eject me from your field of awareness/reality with a simple ‘unfollow’. You are NOT obligated to agree with me, just because we are friends. I promise you! I will greet you will love and acceptance regardless of whether you validate my truth or not. I respect you wholeheartedly and I empathetically understand your perspective because I know that your reality has been shaped by your personal experiences. My reality has also been shaped by my personal experiences and I will never, ever, ever apologize for it! I no longer hold the belief that I need to be “kept in check” by others. I no longer believe that I NEED other people’s opinions to align with my own. I will base my truth on whatever it is that allows me to feel most fulfilled in this life, and I will speak that truth aloud unapologetically. I no longer feel the need to defend or explain myself.
