With the help of Diwan Durga Singh, Vijay approaches Sahibaan parents Mr. and Mrs. Balakram for her hand in marriage who reluctantly agree but Sahibaan disagrees and confides that she loves Gopi, a destitute. Then Vijay confronts Gopi and throws him over-board in a river; the news of Gopi's death not only throws Sahibaan in a catastrophe but leave her heart-broken while on the other hand she must prepare to tie the knot with Vijay.
