Queen of Angels Grand Marian Procession & Votive Mass in Honor of Our Lady of the Angels, September 3, 2011. In early September of 1781, a band of settlers founded their new town: El Pueblo de Nuestra Señora Reina de Los Angeles. Since then, Angelenos have sought the aid and protection of the Blessed Mother for what has become a great, yet often challenged, city. On Saturday, September 3, 2011, a grand Marian Procession through downtown Los Angeles and Votive Mass at the Cathedral was held to celebrate the Feast of Our Lady of the Angels, to aid and protect our City and County which all bear Our Lady's name. Sponsored by the Queen of Angels Foundation, it is our hope that this liturgy will become an annual tradition here in the City of the Angels. Video Produced and Directed by Marshall Thompson.
