Uni-3d's video: Painting In Darkness - Glow paints and Slow exposures during snowtober

The recent storms on the east coast gave me ample chance to play around with some dark light-painting and time-lapse photography. With a few candles and a hefty supply of batteries I managed to keep occupied for much of the cold nights. I had a poster and a puzzle I've painted with glow paints, a normal LED light, and a smaller UV one to really charge the paints. The equipment to shoot with was just a little Panasonic Lumix camera and various camera rig equipment all built out of K'Nex including a rolling dolly cart (the gears are to step down the speed) and a spring-loaded timelapse to keep the shutter rolling. This is easily 10 hours of poking about and killing time over 3 cold nights with the power out. The glow paints shown here being charged pretty well by a tiny UV LED and a 3-LED flashlight were from Glow Inc. In the darkness I can't recommend there paint enough, tiny marker tabs and these posters really helped me get around in the dark. http://glowinc.com - What is this, some Tweet hash?
