UnitedStatesofBuild's video: STEEL and CONCRETE Yardscapes

@STEEL and CONCRETE Yardscapes
This was a cool project. A steel and concrete planter box. It stands 24" tall and total width is about 80 feet. I built all the forms in my shop which kept the on-site setup to a minimum. The homeowner wanted a natural rust patina on the steel coupled with a natural grey concrete. The concrete was a 3/8" minus 6sack mix and ended up being right at 1.25 yards. All steel fabrication was farmed out to a local machine shop. The top was double-broke to give the pieces a thick appearance as well as enough structure to hold up to the dirt. We coated the back with an asphalt based paint to prevent just the back from prematurely rusting. The front will be clear coated once it reaches the desired texture. A crew came in after we finished the front and filled the cells in the back block wall and placed all the dirt. We also put in metal mow strips and are doing a metal privacy wall to complete the project. Stay tuned!
