University of Wisconsin-Stout's video: Ariana Bourdon - Indigenous Peoples Day Message

@Ariana Bourdon - Indigenous Peoples’ Day Message
Hi everyone, my name is Ariana, and I am the president of the Native American Student Organization here at UW-Stout and I am double majoring in Supply Chain Management and Business Administration. I’m in my fourth year, but I just want to talk about Indigenous Peoples’ Day today and what it means to me. My tribe is the Ho-Chunk Nation, I am also a descendant of Potawatomi and Iñupiaq from Alaska. And Indigenous Peoples’ Day to me means honoring our ancestors that worked these lands before us, honoring our students, our children, our families that are here today, and honoring our future as Indigenous people. So today on Indigenous Peoples’ Day I feel seen and I feel heard. So, thank you. Happy Indigenous Peoples’ Day. Pinagigi.
