University of the South's video: The 61st Festival Service of Lessons and Carols

@The 61st Festival Service of Lessons and Carols
The annual Festival Service of Lessons and Carols featuring the University Choir is one of Sewanee’s most cherished traditions. While the global pandemic makes it impossible for us to gather this year in All Saints’ Chapel, we created this special video version of Lessons and Carols—telling the Christmas story of comfort, hope, and God dwelling with us, against the backdrop of a semester like no other at Sewanee. It captures the spirit of the traditional service and also shares some of the ways the University and our students have so successfully faced the challenges of a “socially distanced” semester. Each year, at the traditional Lessons and Carols services, an offering is collected to support two of All Saints’ Chapel's most important ministries—the music ministry of the University Choir and our international and regional outreach programs. This year, in light of the many financial challenges posed by the pandemic, we are also including designations for the University’s most pressing needs in the College and the School of Theology. If you have any questions, please email Whitney Franklin at wpfrankl@sewanee.edu or call 800.367.1179. Thank you for your meaningful and valuable support.
