शिवलिंग पर्वत गंगोत्री क्षेत्र में उपस्थित है। यहां विभिन्न पर्वत शिखरों की श्रृंखला में मनमोहक हिमशिखर ‘शिवलिंग पीक’ है। ट्रैकिंग का थोड़ा सा अनुभव होने के बाद इस शिखर तक पहुंचा जा सकता है। शिवलिंग पीक उत्तराखंड राज्य में गढ़वाल की पश्चिमी पर्वत श्रेणियों में स्थित है। गंगोत्री ग्लेशियर एक विशाल हिमनद है तथा यह गंगा नदी का उद्गम भी है। गंगा नदी की प्रथम धारा भागीरथी नदी के रूप में इस ग्लेशियर के छोर स्थित गोमुख से ही निकलती है, जहां हर वर्ष हजारों सैलानी जाते हैं। इस शिखर के अभियान पर जाने वाले पर्वतारोही गोमुख से तपोवन और नंदनवन जैसे मनोरम स्थलों से होकर जाते हैं। समुद्रतल से 6543 मीटर ऊंची शिवलिंग पीक गंगोत्री शिखर समूह का हिस्सा है। यह पर्वत अल्पाइन पर्वत की तरह दिखाई देता है। Shivling mountain is present in Gangotri region. There is a charming iceberg 'Shivalinga Peak' in a series of different mountain peaks. This peak can be reached after a little experience of tracking. Shivling Peak is located in the western mountain ranges of Garhwal in the state of Uttarakhand. Gangotri Glacier is a huge glacier and is also the origin of the Ganges River. The first stream of the Ganges River originates from Gomukh situated at the end of this glacier as Bhagirathi River, where thousands of tourists visit every year. The climbers who go on the expedition to this summit go through picturesque sites like Gomukh to Tapovan and Nandanvan. The Shivalinga Peak, 6543 meters above sea level, is part of the Gangotri summit. This mountain looks like an Alpine mountain.
