Untold Stories's video: UNTOLD STORIES - ST LUCIA VS COVID-19

While COVID-19 poses a significant risk, political responses and public perceptions in St Lucia have been divided across political ideological lines. This raises questions about the role that both politicians and the media have played in amplifying politicization and polarization of COVID-19, as this kind of news coverage was further used to influence public attitudes in ways that exacerbate partisan divides especially in an election year. This documentary was written over a 4-month period with a team of researchers and writers. It is as much a recount of the who, what, why, when and how of St Lucia verses COVID-19, as it is about the players who used it, milked it and profited on it for their own political gains to either remain in power or to topple an administration using a pandemic as the malady.
