Greenville County Sheriff's office, South Carolina on June 14, 2019 around 11:49pm. A Greenville County dispatch center received a call from an alarm company. Regarding a panic alarm activation from the residence of 305 Eastcrest Drive. A deputy was then dispatch to the home at around 11:54pm. A South Carolina homeowner awakened at midnight by loud banging on his front door, and bright lights shinning through his windows. He believed it was an intruder trying to break into his home. When he grabbed his pistol, and walked toward his front door to investigate. At: 01:30 Body cam footage shows the moment a South Carolina deputy shot a man through side window next to door, to his home in Simpsonville. (No Sound??) First thing a burglar does knock or ring the door bell to see if anyone is home. Midnight someone rings a door bell, people would immediately be on the defensive. The deputy should yelled, and wait when he rang the door bell. As they aretrained and required to do, for this exact reason. Deputy shouldn't had shot through the window at a person, when he didn't know what the call was about. Dispatch never reported a break in, or a man with a gun.
