Bushfires have devastated large swathes of south eastern Australia since September 2019, and fires continue to burn in many areas. Why does Australia have bushfires? Why are they such a problem? And what, if anything, can be done about it? In response to a lot of questions on my Instagram stories, here’s my vlog putting it all in context. 29 people have died in hundreds of fires since September 2019, thousands of people are still without homes and around one billion animals are believed to have been killed.
