Uri Soglowek's video: Premiere Pro Vs Davinci resolve 14 - which is better for you

@Premiere Pro Vs Davinci resolve 14 - which is better for you?
Subscribe to this channel to see other videos: http://vid.io/xqjj my instagram: https://www.instagram.com/usvisuals1/ 1. editing - davinci now is a very good editing software. has almost all of the features that premiere has. premiere has the dynamic link to After effects and effects that can create motion blur like transform. if you your edit needs more effects - premiere. if it doesn't davinci. 2. color correction - Davinici one of the best color softwares on the planet with it selection tools, power windows, tracking and the ability to quacky adjust saturation on spiffy parts of you image - like highlights and shadows. premiere and you can do a lot of the advance color grading in it but i find it is not as precise and the masks on effects like lumetri color always take a lot of time to preview which is annoying. 3. preview - davinci will need a stronger computer and faster drives to preview the footage with some effects like film grain while in premiere you can render the video preview. if you need fast preview - premiere. 4. working on servers. as i have 3 editors working on footage from a server in the past i could do it only with premiere. but now with the new multi users collaboration in davinci this has also been solved. 5. audio - in the past editing audio in davinci was problematic. i don't do any advanced audio editing but now davinci has the new fairlight audio tools which is more then enough for me. 6. ability to work with motion graphic softwares. premiere has after effects which has endless tutorials on youtube. Davici has fusion. which is an amazing motion graphics and compositor software but is not so understood. if i think i know blackmagic (being their costumer for a long time now) i think this is going to change, i believe fusion is going to get a lot of attention and blackmagic will push a lot of content creators to create trining on it. 7. render - here is just my opinion based on a lot of projects i DPed and edited. at times i find that davinci renders footage to looks better while premiere crushes that blacks a little to much. i think it has to to with rendering YRGB 32-bit float image processing that i don't think premiere can. but i never really did any study on it and i am possibly wrong. correct me in the comments if you know more about this. 8. cost - davinci is free. not the studio version. premiere cost money. not a lot to say about that. 9. so who is better. the answer is complicated. it is really up to you. if you have a lot of after effects work and want to dynamic link it to your editor use premiere. having both systems in the past my way to go about it was - if the project had to be delivered fast i would go with premiere and if i had to do a lot of color correction i would go with davinci but recently with davinci 14 studio i find myself doing more and more in davinci. 10. i think the buttom line is not the software you use but your ability to generate footage that has the film look. but i will this cover in another video. the more time a spend shooting and editing on commercial production i find that my understanding of how to create the film look had changed dramatically. but more on that in another video.
