반크 베트남 인턴 트 님이 직접 촬영하고 제작하신 인터뷰 영상입니다. 1. Self-introducing Hello, I am Thu from Vietnam. It’s been more than a year since I came to Korea. I used to study Korean language for a year at the language institute of Chung Ang University then I decided to apply to a university in Korea. I will start to study Media Communication at Hanyang University in 2021 class. 2. Introducing about Vietnam What comes to your mind when you think of Vietnam? I think what Korean know best about Vietnam are rice noodles, Cong café, and coach Park Hangseo. However, there are many other interesting things in Vietnam. The relationship between Korea and Vietnam is developing day by day, and the travel destination in Vietnam has become more popular. Vietnam where has beautiful travel destination, has the largest direct flights from Korea among Southeast Asian countries. Well-known Vietnamese tourist destinations for Korean travelers are Da Nang, Hoi An, Ha Noi, Ho Chi Minh city, Mui Ne beach, and Ha Long bay. As the relationship between Korea and Vietnam has become stronger, many Korean companies are investing in Vietnam. In 2019, Samsung Electronics accounted for 26% of Vietnam’s GDP. 3. How I became interested in Korea When I was in middle school, almost all Vietnamese girls were crazy about Korean idols. I was not an exception. At that time I was a huge fan of DBSK. I really like Korean music and drama, so I started to get interested in Korean culture. My favorite Korean drama is Goblin, I keep watching it at least once every year. 4. The reason why I came to Korea My youth has been through the Korean Wave in the mid-2000s and it affects deeply with not only my hobbies but also my passion and personal growth. Korean TV shows, music, and filming delivered great images of the country through media management and content creation. From there, I strongly feel the power of media in bringing the Korean culture to the world. Thus, I started to direct myself in the Media major and pursue my dream at the start of my passion, Korea. 5. The reason I applied for an internship at VANK It’s been more than a year since I came to Korea, but I didn’t have many chances to experience Korea due to COVID-19. While I was searching for cultural exchange programs in Korea, I found out information about VANK. I believe it is a valuable opportunity for me not only to promote Vietnamese culture to the world but also to learn a lot about Korean culture so I became an intern at VANK. 6. What do you want to learn and look forward to experiencing during VANK internship? I would like to become a spiritual bridge between Vietnam and Korea during VANK internship. I will do my best to deliver interesting information about Vietnam. I hope I will improve my Korean proficiency and learn a lot about Korean culture and history.
