VNRose3's video: Anne Sylvestre El onore French English Subtitles

On learning that French singer-songwriter Anne Sylvestre's grandson was killed in the Bataclan terrorist attack in Paris, I went to my only Anne S. LP, her award winning 1962 second disc and looked for the best song to translate. It was Eléonore. Who is this Eléonore with a great heart who loved and comforted so many men of various ages only to be persecuted by their wives and tyrannized by them? Anne Sylvestre's recording career began in the late 1950's. She was praised by the great Georges Brassens for the quality of her work and the dignity of her performances. Classic French chanson would not be the same without her. She turns 82 in June, 2016. Thanks again to philipchek of Paris for helping me interpret this song and translate it.
