Victoria's north eastern main line between Melbourne and Seymour features a double track broad gauge line with a parallel single track standard gauge line. From Seymour, the standard gauge continues as double track to the NSW border and onto Sydney while the broad gauge line branches off at Mangalore and heads through the Goulburn Valley to Shepparton and beyond.
