VSFX's video: 1 3 Flight to the Moon w commentary Orbiter 2010 - CSSC to Brighton Beach

Part 1 of 3. Apologies for the crokey voice. I don't think this is a very efficient way of getting to orbit! We take-off from the Carl Sagan Space Center in the Pacific Ocean on the first leg of a flight to the Moon. After circularising we will need to go almost a full orbit before performing the Trans-Lunar Injection burn. I like to fly the XR5 in a "hard" configuration, which simply means increased difficulty with reduced engine ISP, increased APU burn rate etc. It's more realistic that way, yet still futuristic.
