VSFX's video: Interplanetary Carrier Vessel for Orbiter 2010

@Interplanetary Carrier Vessel for Orbiter 2010
You can download the pre-release version on this OF thread: http://www.orbiter-forum.com/showthread.php?t=33250 The Interplanetary Carrier Vessel (ICV) is a long range, high endurance spacecraft designed for travel from Earth and Mars to Jupiter and the Outer Planets. It is capable of acting as a stand-alone vessel for orbital operations or as a crew habitat, propulsion system and resource bank for use in transporting lander craft to the Outer Planet moons for orbit-to-surface operations. It was specifically designed to be able to transport an XR1 Deltaglider or XR2 Ravenstar (both in Expert configuration) to the Outer Planets. Those vessels would be used for surface launch and rendezvous with the ICV in Earth orbit and then for de-orbit and landing at bases on the Outer Planet moons, including Titan. Any lander craft may be used depending on mission requirements. ______________ The ICV engine performance has been configured to be appropriately similar to the Expert configuration of the XR vessels. This way it is assumed that all the vessels have as similar technology level. This was created specifically because I like using the XR2 for flight to orbit and landing. Also I prefer to use the Expert configuration as it is more realistic near-future technology rather than far into the realm of science fiction. Modelled with gmax. ______________ Orbiter 2010 is a space flight simulator created by Martin Schweiger http://orbit.medphys.ucl.ac.uk XR2 Ravenstar by Douglas E.
