Village News/Valley News/ReederMedia Publisher Julie Reeder interviews Dr. Barkey who sued the Medical Board of California and the Attorney General to prevent AB 2098 from going into effect. AB 2098 limits doctors' free speech and gets in the way of the doctor/patient relationship. It would have enshrined into state law that licensed physicians and surgeons disseminating or promoting "misinformation or disinformation" (according to CDC/WHO guidelines) related to COVID-19 would constitute unprofessional conduct that should result in disciplinary actions by the Medical Board of California or the Osteopathic Medical Board of California. A federal judge ruled in their favor by blocking the law.
