Varun Sharma's video: How To Cook Patrode Patodu - Cooking Lesson With Mom

Here's another vlog featuring my Mom cooking famous dish of Himachal, Patroda/Patodu. It's a very famous dish in Himachal made quite often at our home using Colocasia Leaves (Arbi k Patte). Best goes with chapati or as just a snack. In this video, mom began cooking Patrode by applying the paste that she made using a variety of flour and spices on Colocasia leaves. Once the paste is applied to one side of the Leaf, she adds another leaf on top and repeats the process by adding 2 more leaves. Basically, you add 4 leaves on top of each other and stick them together using the special masala paste. After this she rolls them to make it cylindrical in shape. The last process is to put these rolls in a cooker and steam. You can keep then overnight (after steaming). Yes, one last step is to cut these rolls into pieces and and stir fry them on a pan which makes it crunchy and even more delicious. Hope you like this video.
