Scarbo (https://youtu.be/GwX1jO09ero) Live Broadcasting | Presentation: André Cunha Leal | Production: Anabela Luís Vasco Dantas, portuguese pianist born in Porto in 1992, obtained his Bachelor in Music with “1st Class & Distinction” at the London Royal College of Music with the Russian Prof. Dmitri Alexeev and the South-African Niel Immelman. Recently he concluded the Master in Performance with highest mark (1,0) under the guidance of Professor Heribert Koch at University of Münster (Germany), where he was accepted for the postgraduate study "Konzertexamen". Vasco has won over 50 prizes in international competitions in Germany, Greece, Malta, Morocco, Portugal, Spain and United Kingdom. Just in 2015, 2016 and 2017 he was awarded the “Grand Prix” at Valletta International Piano Competition (Malta), “Prix Spécial” at Concours International de Piano SAR La Princesse Lalla Meryem (Morroco), the 3rd Prize at Steinway & Sons Competition (Münster), "Golden Merit Medal" by the city of Matosinhos (Portugal), the 1st Prize at Estoril Lisbon Fest - Estoril Music Competition, the Prize "Fundação Eng. António de Almeida", and a Scholarship from the Richard Wagner Foundation and the Círculo Richard Wagner Portugal to participate in the Bayreuth Festspiel 2016, in Germany. In November 2015 Vasco made his Asia debut, playing with Hong Kong Symphonia at Hong Kong City Hall Concert Hall the Franz Liszt Piano Concerto no.1; In August 2014 Vasco made his American debut playing with "Orquestra Sinfónica Espírito Santo" in Vitória - Brazil, the D. Shostakovich Piano Concerto no.2; In May of 2013 made his European debut with Porto Symphony Orchestra (Casa da Música), performing the J.S. Bach Concerto for 4 Keyboards and Orchestra (in A minor); In January of 2011 Vasco made his piano recital debut in the renowned “Sala Suggia” at Porto Casa da Música, opening the EDP Piano Cycle 2011. He has also performed solo with orchestras including Hong Kong Symphonia (China), Orquestra Sinfónica do Espírito Santo (Brazil), Jülich Sinfonieorchester and Junges Sinfonieorchester Aachen (Germany), Porto Symphony Orchestra, Orquestra do Norte, Orquestra Sinfónica de Cascais, Orquestra Clássica do Sul e Orquestra Filarmónica das Beiras (Portugal) and has worked with well-known conductors such as Choi Sown Le, Dinis Sousa, Günter Neuhold, Martin André, Nicholas Kok, Nikolay Lalov, Pedro Neves, Peter Sauerwein, Rui Pinheiro and Victor Hugo Toro.
