Vasu Dixit's video: Neelamegha Acoustic Quarantine Session Home Studio

"Neelamegha" as a poem and as a song tries to verbalise this brief fictional encounter of the two prominent figures in the Indian culture. On a long summer day of dealing with politics, hatred and the rumours of war in the province, Lord Krishna goes back home to meet his mother Yashodha. As the night gradually swallows the day, Krishna rests his head upon Yashodha's laps who is seated on the swing of sandalwood. Yashodha sings a lullaby and together they escape the barriers of time and space; everything around them turns new as if it's the spring. Translation: The horizon hid the sun As silence eclipsed the moonless night , Chandelier of gem sowed the seed of light  As to lit up the tiered eyes  And the Lord (Krishna) melted down on to his mother's lap  Counting all the stars there were Wiping down the tears  The flute sung to the her lullaby as she held him close as much,  The world and its time  forgotten, as his breath touched  her skin The night was lost as the time resumed, The feeble pleasant joy and the pouring rain of thoughts. In the cradle of her heart ,he lies  The lord melts down on to his mother's lap, again.
