Vegan Travel Diaries's video: ECO SUSTAINABLE RESORT ON ROTTNEST ISLAND

While on Rottnest Island we had the amazing opportunity to stay at @discoveryrottnestisland , the very first eco sustainable resort on the island 🌿 We absolutely loved everything about it: firstly cos it’s an environmentally friendly facility. All tents have been designed to respect the planet using eco materials and with a particular attention to earth-friendly details such as the absolute absence of air conditioning, thanks to the natural airflow. Even the toiletries provided in the bathroom are environmentally friendly! They also have a few facilities on site, such as a lovely restaurant @pinkys.rottnestisland (with a beautiful swimming pool) serving buffet breakfast every day (which is included when staying at the resort) with quite a few vegan options (hot and cold) and cocktails and snack during the rest of the day. We tried a couple of vegan friendly cocktails (obviously pink!) and we loved them! The vegan options on the bar menu unfortunately are very very limited but with an abundant breakfast you’ll be good till dinner time 😁 The resort is located right on Pinky Beach : easy to understand where it gets its name from when looking at the spectacular pink sunsets from the restaurant terrace. You can also walk to the lighthouse and make nice wild quokkas encounters 💕 From the resort you can easily reach the lagoon next door (just a 3 min walk) named The Basin and enjoy crystal blue waters and snorkelling. And you can also hire a bike (or an electric scooter like we did!!) and explore the whole island..which still looks like an untouched paradise! 🐠 Make sure you put on your bucket list! It’s only a quick 30 min ferry ride from Fremantle (Western Australia) but you’ll feel like being in a secluded paradise far away from the rest of the world!
