Veness Travel Media's video: Arizona s Modern Ghost Town

The town of Jerome is situated about 5,000ft up in the Black Hills of Arizona, a former copper-mining metropolis - and the fourth largest city in the state in the 1920s - before the demand for and quality of the copper mines collapsed after the Second World War. Basically a ghost town in the 1950s, it was revived by tourism in recent decades, bringing thousands of visitors to the quaint stores and restaurants that now thrive here. It also offers stunning views across the Verde Valley to the Mogollon Rim escarpment, and the southwest edge of the Colorado Plateau.
