Viking Stories's video: Easter greeting along with some reflections

@Easter greeting along with some reflections
Did you know that the word Easter is from an Indo-European Goddess which the Vikings and the Germanic and Celtic tribes worshipped? There is even a present day tribe who continues to worship the Goddess Eostre, our distant cousings in Jammu and Kashmir, due to early Iron Age migration into India and their own intruiging history since then. In this video I also talk some about hardships and plagues in history and how this influenced Vikings and Viking mentality. Hope you like it! Take care and enjoy Easter! Here's the link to the dramatic effect of the Fimbulwinter in the year 536: https://www.newscientist.com/article/2076713-125-year-mini-ice-age-linked-to-the-plague-and-fall-of-empires/ And for all you Scandinavian speakers out there, you might find this article in Norwegian about the Kalash people interesting: https://www.aftenposten.no/viten/i/K2n5/vaare-fjerne-slektninger-i-himalaya #&gid=1&pid=2 Both the map and the drawing "Ostara" (1901) by Johannes Gehrts are from Wikipedia. Also, information on the Kalash people is very easy to find on the Internet. Here's the text in the end of the video: If it's through solitude you get to know who you are, and in crisis you find out how are strong you are then we should welcome these strangest of times. And if you feel like time stands still and loneliness is close, well let's think of all the lonely people and saviour that, so we now know a little how they feel. If you are at the lowest of lows, then I know you've been here before. And you know there will always be a new low hiding below. Seek comfort in knowing many men and women have been where you are. And stay strong with fortitude and temperance. If you feel despair or have fear, then lift your head up, head out, seek nature, seek your inner self, seek the good in the solitude, because things will get better. In the meantime do what you must in order to survive, but don't forget those around you, even if you can't see them or feel them close. And by all means, try the Viking way of thinking, because with them everything was destined, and hard times were mere challenges, tests for each of us to pass, to prove to the Gods and more importantly to yourself what you're made of. That's how a Viking could grow and that's how we all should grow through difficulties. Read the famous poem Havamal if you like to know how Odin faced near death experiences and crazy inner journeys in order to grow. It's inspirational. Easter greetings to you all in the name of Oestre and in celebration of the coming spring and the fertility it brings! And do take care in these troubling times!
