Villenege's video: DUNE 2021 Re-Scored w Johann Johannsson

This edit reimagines two scenes from Dune (2021) with the gritty and eerie soundscape of the late Johann Johannsson. One of my favourite aspects of Denis Villeneuve films is the strong creative connection he had with Johannsson, and their collaborations on Prisoners, Sicario and Arrival has had a deep impact on my own passion for film and music. As much as I enjoyed Hans Zimmer's soundtrack for the recent Dune, I couldn't help but imagine the difference in tone had Johannsson scored it. This edit features the songs "Head Full of Mush" and "Fragment II."
