Vintage Fans & More's video: Hunter Robbins Myers Comfort Breeze Ceiling Fan Studio Remake

Hunter (Robbins & Myers) Comfort Breeze 52" ceiling fan in antique white. You may remember from the original video that the flywheel was on its way out. I'd put this fan all together to do a remake video a couple months back, pulled the chain to do a quick test run, and CLUNK. Center core fully split at the set screw, so it could no longer properly grip the shaft. Honestly, not where I thought it was going to fail. Since it was set on the blades when I found it, the inner rubber of the spokes had become loose and slightly dislodged, so I assumed that someday it would simply split and slide off while the center remained on the shaft. You just never know what they're gonna do. 🤷‍♂️ Anyways, I ordered a new flywheel from Fan Man (they're the most awesome people!), but it was backordered for a bit. New stock finally arrived earlier this month, promptly shipped, and I installed it as soon as I had time since I'd left the fan sitting out disassembled the whole time. It's literally an identical flywheel, which is cool for originality, though I also kind of wish it was an improved version for longevity. Take what you can get, I guess. With the run time it gets here, should be good for a solid few decades again. Nice thing is that the flywheel is less wishy-washy now, so the wobble is improved to almost none. Since I'd already replaced the bearings, it runs amazingly, if not slightly on the hummy side. I think it was that way before (I remember it vibrating the floor when I had it displayed in my old fan room), it just picks up a lot more here with the combo of this space and my better microphone. Great airflow, it's a really solid and neat fan overall and I love this finish for them. Early expansion from Hunter beyond the Original was always pretty interesting stuff, IMO.
