Vintage Fans & More's video: Emerson Designer Ceiling Fan 1080p HD Remake

Emerson Designer 52" ceiling fan in Tuscan Gold, still in the original packaging. I don't think I've had this one out again since the original video, but I really do love the finishes on this one. Let me say, the blade tone was ahead of its time. A unique tone for this unipack fan that really pairs well with the motor finish. The reverse side is faux Tuscan Gold to match the motor. Despite the name, Tuscan Gold doesn't read much in the gold family. It's sort of just a warmer faux metallic finish, perhaps a slight golden undertone that brings it all together. Kind of refreshing, since a lot of the faux finishes of the era were starting to go a lot cooler as the silver tones gained popularity. This one is unique for that early because it has a bit of both. I think this finish could come back today and work well with the gold trend because of its warmth, but it would really shine on a more industrial design. Has that hammered metal look, but again it's warmer so it'd be perfect with a lot of the finish palettes going these days. Designers are great spinner motor fans, but of course they would be coming from Emerson. Performance is only ever so slightly below a comparable K55 fan, and still very quiet. I really like these newer generations that remained quite basic and traditional, but got some of the more seamless updated components like the interlocking blade arms. Great basic fans that provided accessibility to the higher end finishes and the typical excellent quality standard from Emerson.
