Vintage Fans & More's video: Craftmade Designer Ceiling Fan

Craftmade Designer 42" ceiling fan in antique brass. Found in the trash during Cleanup Week a couple years back. Many thanks to everyone in the Facebook group who contributed information regarding the model name. At its core it's a Decorative, just a super early one pre-pretzel blade arms and before the model names were really set and locked in. There's no branding anywhere on it, but all of the key Craftmade details are there. I've found a couple of these fans in the past, for some reason I always find them in just terrible condition and the others were not salvageable. This one was pretty rough and I considered just parting it out rather than putting in so much effort to clean it up, but I don't see many of these early Craftmades turn up and wanted to keep at least one. Being AB, the finish was pretty forgiving and cleaned well. The blades are the ones I cleaned in my recent ASMR video; they were pretty greasy and still aren't perfect but came out way better than expected. Originally had a 3 light turtle fitter, but per usual I preferred to go without a light. It was clearly replaced because the original capacitor had completely blown out. I transplanted one that I'm pretty sure came from one of the same fans I parted out before, but I think it's drifting a bit as well. They're kind of weird values so I wasn't able to immediately swap in another solution to see if it made any difference. Despite the fact that high is probably not quite at its full potential, I actually don't mind the overall speed range produced. The aesthetic low is only made better. The blades might be slightly out of correct pitch, too. I kind of just got them tweaked evenly and called it a day. All things considered it's a pretty decent little fan. Slight bearing noise, there was a lot more chatter but it subsided nicely after I let it run for a bit.
