Vintage Fans & More's video: Emerson 60 Industrial Heat Fan Ceiling Fan Studio Remake

Emerson Industrial Heat Fan 60" ceiling fan in appliance white, still in the original packaging, shown on an Emerson 4 speed slider control. With the recent news that the Emerson name will officially be retired under Luminance Brands' ownership, I thought the timing was right for another Emerson video. Really the only major difference from the original video is the control, which isn't included with the fan, but I decided to go full Emerson this time. Otherwise it's just been in the box and I don't think I've ever had it out again. It was an open-box item when I bought it, so it's not cosmetically perfect, but it is still very unused. This one was really interesting to bring out again to test in the studio space, since this location offers a much clearer base of comparison for airflow. Needless to say, the airflow is crazy with this one. As mentioned in the original description, the blades are essentially identical to the Hampton Bay industrial. Those fans seem to perform quite well for a home center product, but I think Emerson's motor really puts the potential of this blade over the top. I frequently mention how Emerson optimized every product they made to perform at a high standard, this one is no exception. Still to this day, people confuse the Industrial Heat Fan with the Loft. They are similar and use the same blade, but the Loft uses a smaller motor which lowers the performance significantly, and has a few ornamentations to make it stylistically more decorative. While they look very much the same, they are entirely different fans in the performance department. Figured I'd put that in here this time, because I can already see the "No it's a Loft" comments. No, you are incorrect. 😛 Gonna miss the Emerson name. It's been synonymous with quality for so long.
