Launching a YouTube channel is something that I’ve always been very weary of, as I’m really not very tech savvy l and I hate hearing myself on camera! I tend to be very old school when it comes to my approach to drag and fashion. I typically prefer a live experience. But with the help of the amazing YouTube team I have tackled my fears and I’m so excited to launch my very own channel! I wanted to bring something to YouTube that I haven’t seen before. This channel is all things entertaining and glamorous but also a bit historical and educational. I’ve yet to find a lot of good quality fashion content on YouTube and that’s something I know I would like to see more of. With my series “Digital Drag" I reclaim my creativity that I haven’t been able to explore while traveling the world as a drag superstar. I’m doing head to toe looks that I’ve always wanted to do but not necessarily had the excuse to do them. With my series “Runway Rewind" myself and a guest take a look back at archival runways footage - we react, kiki, and also talk about the historical significance of the brand and creative director as well as our own personal style. I also have a series called “Violet Does” - which is a vlog of sorts; viewers follow my journeys around the world and my many glamorous or not so glamorous adventures. xx Violet Chachki 💜
