Violet Deliriums's video: X-Ray Spex - Art-I-Ficial guitar cover

This is my cover of X-Ray Spex's song "Art-I-Ficial" (1978). They were a British punk band led by their lead singer Poly Styrene (a.k.a., Marianne Joan Elliot-Said, 1957-2011; punk rock musicians often have aliases like that). British punk doesn't usually resonate with me as much as American, probably because they are dealing with a different set of issues (like Queens and royalty and stuff we got rid of in the eighteenth-century -- we replaced such antiquated class systems with a more modernistic corporate feudal system here in the US.) But this song is about the artificiality of beauty culture to which Poly Styrene says, "fuck you." She basically used punk to advance her feminist cause, and stand up against the traditional social boundaries expected of girls and women in the "consumer society." Of course, we don't have any such consumerism in the US... The Explosive Space Modulator is back!!! I played it on my Fender Violet Deliriums ESM Signature Model Blacktop HH Jaguar which has Seymour Duncan SH-1 pickups, a killswitch, and some neat-o stickers on the pickguard. I select the bridge humbucker and that goes through my Fender Supersonic 22W amp's "Burn" (hi-gain) channel. I shaped the sound with a Keeley compressor (all knobs at 12 o'clock) and a TC Electronic MojoMojo Overdrive (all four controls on 12 o'clock). To record it, I played along with the mp3 with my computer speakers and amp huddled around a Samson CO1U microphone into my Mac's Photo Booth program, which reverses the image and I don't know how to fix it.
