Acne has always made me feel so insecure. So unwanted, unlovable. And i've always looked down on myself for something i legitimately cannot control. I've tried just about everything there is to try for acne. I'm currently on some doctor prescribed medication and cream for my skin, but regardless if this works or not, i want to let you all know, anyone out there struggling with acne: you are wanted. you are lovable. and you have no reason to feel like you deserve anything less than that. Acne is such a temporary thing, don't let it bring you down. I'm now so comfortable with the fact that i have acne. I don't feel the need to hide it all the time. Yes, i still wear makeup, but that's just because i want to. Not because i am ashamed. Don't get that confused. I am beautiful. I am worth happiness and confidence. And anyone who thinks otherwise is stupid, and not worth my time. I hope any of you that have acne know how much you are worth and don't let some red bumps on your skin affect your opinion of yourself. I love you. xo (Also, no.. my makeup, as long as i wash it off at the end of the day, does not affect my skin negatively. That's just a myth. I have hormonal acne, which isn't caused by what i put on my skin, rather my hormone imbalance. And also dairy products, which i've already started to cut out. So thanks for your insight, but no "wearing less makeup" will not help my skin clear up.) The stuff i'm on if you're wondering is called Doxycycline, and Adapalene Gel. Which currently is doing okay, just drying my skin out like crazy. Hopefully that goes away soon though.
