The Castro de Outeiro Lesenho is located at an elevation of 1073 meters of altitude. Its location reveals the defensive strategic objective of the castro, and the importance it may have had in the past. The fort consists of several walls still visible, with an approximate height of two meters, and some of the characteristic houses in a circular structure whose base remains visible. It was the subject of several archaeological surveys and many of the material remains of the fort indicate that it could contain a metallurgy workshop. However, what really stands out from the archaeological remains found in the fort are four statues of Galician-Lusitanian warriors made of granite . Two of these are in the National Museum of Archeology and there are many replicas spread across several museums around the world. The statue in this video is located amidst one of the main walls of the castrum , watching over the valley below .
