As a teacher, I strive to impart what I have learnt to my students. Equally, I teach to find a connection with my students. This gives me completeness in its own right. To be a part of a person's growth story is a priceless experience for any teacher. Rarely, the connection is physically distant, yet emotionally profound. One such connection is with my students, Maca and Pepe. I met them remotely years ago, when the world was faltering in the clutches of a pandemic. They have been learning from me since. Their presence has been a saving grace for me and gave me hope in difficult times. Recently, they made my Diwali brighter when they visited me from Spain. All bonds eventually wither away. Some bonds leave an indelible mark. Grateful to have them in my life. Here's a video of them performing to one of my choreographies along with my other students from Jodhpur.
