Dr. Usha Vasthare is a neuroscientist, teacher, writer, and social worker. She co-founded YogaKshema Rehabilitation & Wellness Center, Bengaluru in 2007. She was a resident of the USA for 3 decades where she has been a faculty of Temple University School of Medicine for 17 years and post that she took up the role of Clinical Research Project Coordinator at the Center for Parkinson's disease and Movement Disorders, Pennsylvania Hospital which honored her with Service Excellence Award. She has published over 70 research papers & abstracts in reputed journals and contributed to 5 books used for continuing medical education courses. Dr. Usha Vasthare conducts support group meetings for various sections of the society ranging from home-makers, professionals to survivors of chronic illnesses and their caregivers. So far, she has facilitated more than 400 such meetings at YogaKshema and conducted several workshops on Mind Training, Overcoming Automatic Negative Thoughts (ANTs), Depression, and Stress management. Her workshops are based on the most recent advances in Neuroscience research and are geared to the participants in improving their Quality of Life. Her interest is to bring Science & Spirituality together for Holistic Living. Her programs have been telecasted in leading television networks like Udaya, Chandana, Zee Kannada as well as in Radio and newspapers such as Vijaya Karnataka & Udayavani in Karnataka. She has also been featured in Radio talk shows in the USA and South Africa and conducted workshops in those countries.
