W3 Productions's video: Node Wrangler Blender 2 8 - Blender Image Texture Setup

@Node Wrangler Blender 2.8 - Blender Image Texture Setup
Setting up Blender Principled Shader image textures for your materials can be a time consuming process if you have a lot of materials. In this Node Wrangler Blender 2.8 Image Texture node tutorial, we learn how to use the Node Wrangler add on to set up image textures connected directly to the Principled BSDF Shader for your PBR materials. What's so great is that it mostly comes down to a Node Wrangler HotKey. Check out this playlist of Blender Tutorials: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLLOAIDS7149cyCVv51xe2ZliyVOlgEp6j Here's a quick tip on now to quickly apply your image textures to the Principled Shader Node in Blender 3D. With the Node Wrangler addon enabled. Select the Principled Shader Node and hit CTRL SHIFT T. From there, you will select ALL the image textures you need to use for the material. When you apply them, Blender will automatically set up the nodes in the manner they need to go. I believe the image texture format is as follows: Diffuse or Albedo: xxx_diffuse.png (or whatever image format) xxx_albedo.png Roughness: xxx_roughness.png Metallic: xxx_metallic.png Normal Map: normal.png Displacement: height.png Node Wrangler is a suite of tools designed and coded by industry professionals, Bartek Skorupa and Greg Zaal, to help make node editing in Blender easier and quicker, for both compositing and material workflows. https://gregzaal.github.io/node-wrangler/ Website: w3productions.com From the Blender Documentation The Principled BSDF that combines multiple layers into a single easy to use node. It is based on the Disney principled model also known as the “PBR” shader, making it compatible with other software such as Pixar’s Renderman® and Unreal Engine®. Image textures painted or baked from software like Substance Painter® may be directly linked to the corresponding parameters in this shader. This “Uber” shader includes multiple layers to create a wide variety of materials. The base layer is a user controlled mix between diffuse, metal, subsurface scattering and transmission. On top of that there is a specular layer, sheen layer and clearcoat layer.
