One of my favorite things about Florida is the warm winters we have! That made this a perfect day to take the boat out to some beautiful islands in the Gulf of Mexico to go fossil hunting for prehistoric sand dollars and sea urchins from 30 million years ago! These islands are made of dredge spoils which brought up tons of the limestone these fossils are in! We also found something extremely unexpected.
