Our idea is to bring back the authenticity of the dance form of cabaret. It is a form which has been widely misinterpreted and portrayed in an unnecessary erotic manner. Through a very artistic approach, we try to show the boldness of femininity through the character of our female lead. The story is of a woman who wants to explore more when it comes to men and not get restricted by the impediments of being a woman. This is seen through her interactions with the audience during her set on stage when she goes from table to table seducing men. When she is on stage, her personality changes. She is a performer, confident and bold. The backstage is her own space. She is comfortable there. We see her taking a moment to herself and realising the reality of her life vs the bold and fantastical facade that she has on stage. We finally end the video with her being back onstage, where she holds a power over 6 other male dancers, finally to disappear at the very end of her performance, personifying her will to escape.
