@SDR Can Replace Dollar as Reserve Currency | Special Drawing Rights Will Be New Bretton Woods Moment
Kristalina Georgieva, the head of the IMF, has called repeatedly for a "A New Bretton Woods Moment" (link below). The Bretton Woods system was created after WWII to stablilize the world's currencies by pegging all of them, directly or indirectly, to the US Dollar. But the IMFs "New Bretton Woods Moment" is calling for the US Dollar to be replaced as the world's reserve currency, with their own currency called the "SDR". SDR stands for "Special Drawing Rights". The world reserve currency is the US Dollar still today. But many Austrian economists have warned that basket of world currencies will need to include the IMF's SDR (Special Drawing Rights). There is no more room for printing US Dollars. The SDR will eventually become the world's reserve currency. Eventually the US Dollar Index (DYX) will have to include the SDR into its basket. In this video we discuss how to even calculate the value of an SDR, where to buy it and what it even is. Eventually the SDR will also just be paper (digital) money and ultimately the only remaining hard currency will be gold - the tried and true currency.
