It is home to one and only Krishna temple in entire India, one of the biggest bird sanctuary Dr. Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary, Spread over an area of 1.8 square kilometers, this sanctuary is a haven for migratory and resident birds. Bird enthusiasts can spot a wide variety of bird species, including the famous Indian blackbird, herons, egrets, kingfishers, and many others. The island is also known for its mangrove forests, which are essential for the local ecosystem and support a diverse range of plant and animal life. Along with that we met few locals who welcomed us in their home and shared a small part of their lives and lastly we did a Feni and Urrak Tasting. Both feni and urrak have significant cultural and social importance in Goa. They are traditionally consumed during festivals, celebrations, and other special occasions.
