I take a walk around Walking Street, Pattaya. Recently you might have heard rumors about changes and new regulations going on in Pattaya. The Thai Officials have told all bars on Walking Street to close by 3am. This includes discos. The go-go bars usually close by 2 or 3am, so no real impact there. But so far, I have not seen any changes. The Tourist Police walk up and down Walking Street after 3am, and don’t seem to care that bars are still serving alcohol and the discos are full. This could change at any time though. About a month ago, I heard about the army cracking down on Pattaya, when they went to WalkingStreet and cleared all the bars and discos at 3am. This is hopefully not the future of Pattaya and the army stay away. Already on Soi 6, bars there can’t serve alcohol until 6pm and have to close by 3am. It’s pretty dead there during the day. Apparently, there are more changes to come around the city. Like Soi 7 and Soi 8 will have changes but not sure what they all are yet. I hear “lady drinks” can’t be written as such on menus, and any of the massage girls now have to have an official masseuse qualification. I guess the Thailand Authorities are trying to clean up the city a bit. Let’s see what happens over the coming months. Hopefully its not all doom and gloom! Back to the vlog… I take a walk up the full length of Walking Street as far as Mixx Night Club. This video could have been shorter if I wasn’t distracted on a few occasions by some beauties. Yeah, I’m a legs and ass man! Mixx Night Club was very quiet but it was still early. I went back to the Windmill agogo on Soi Diamond – It’s one of those must visit places in Pattaya. I ended up in JP Pool bar (entrance is opposite Marine Disco). It only starts to get going around 4 or 5am. Many freelancers like to hang out there and play pool. Its loud and hot, and at that time in the morning, I’m usually well tanked up with booze. The music can give me a headache, so it’s a bit of an endurance test at times… but I like to play pool and chat to people. If you turn right leaving JP’s, you’ll see a mototaxi rank, so it’s very convenient. I put up a map at the end of the video just for newbies to have some reference points. Hope it helps.
