@Pattaya - Soi Post Office (13/2) & Soi Yamato (13/1) & Cinema - Daytime Walk Around
Cheap Hotel prices: https://goo.gl/x7Ed3e Cheap Flights search: https://goo.gl/zxr5EX (Please consider using the above links to find the best prices for flights and hotels. They are affiliate links to jetradar and hotellook… both are search engines to find and compare the best prices across the internet. I receive a small commission if you book a hotel or a flight through the appropriate link. It’s a small amount, but every little bit helps. And helps to keep the channel going. It doesn’t cost you anything extra, and should help you find the best prices. Bookmark the links for future bookings. Just enter the hotel name (or city) and your dates and let the site do the rest.) I go to the “Major Cineplex The Avenue Pattaya” and take a walk around during the day to Soi 13/2 aka Soi Post Office and Soi 13/1 aka Soi Yamato. The cinema is part of a kinda strange shopping plaza. Never seen it busy. There are several empty shop units for rent. But if you’re in the mood to go to the cinema, it’s my favorite one in Pattaya. It has 8 screens, modern, really comfortable seats. It’s normal in Thailand before a movie starts, they play the “Royal Anthem” with a montage of images of the King. People stand up during this. There were only a few of us at the movie and I turned around to look and the people were standing up, so I did the same. Better to respect the Thai traditions – and stay out of trouble! Doesn’t hurt. They do this in the Philippines too. Just off where you buy the cinema tickets you’ll see Blu-O Rhytym & Bowl bowling alley. I never went in, so don’t know what’s it like – just like any other bowling alley I would think. Literally across the road (Second Road), you can see down Soi Post Office and Soi Yamato. I took a walk up to Dicey Reilly’s bar/restaurant on Second Road. I didn’t go in this time, but I’ve been there before. It was too early in the day. I’d recommend it for the food, especially the Sunday Carvery. Good air con and friendly staff. I do the full walk up Soi Post Office after that and got a quick shot of Hooters on Beach Road. I’ll go back there again some night soon and walk up Beach Road. Night time is more interesting - even in low season. Then I take a walk up Soi Yamato… I got a little distracted by a girl in short shorts – nice legs! I’m a sucker for Daisy Dukes! Then onto Second Road again. I go past Tim Beer Bar (bar at the front, go-go club at the back), but again, during the day as expected, it’s quiet. Feeling peckish, I decided to try a fairly new restaurant called the Longhorn Steakhouse. It’s in front of the famous Beefeater steak house (highly recommended), but just wanted to try out the Longhorn as I heard good things about it, and wasn’t disappointed. Behind the bars on the west side of Soi Diana, (The Papagayo agogo end), there’s a little pedestrian alley and you’ll find the restaurants there along with massage places and tailors. Soi 13/2 and Soi 13/1 have loads of beer bars, agogos, massage shops and cheap guesthouses. It’s not my favorite area in Pattaya, but it’s close to Soi Diana and LK Metro and Walking Street isn’t too far away either. Thanks for watching. Wanderlust Or Bust Please like, subscribe and share!
